Manipulating some of the hundreds of landscape photos I took in the summer of 2011. I am using this as a different way of abstracting and looking at the English landscape.

I am continuing with my mixed media process and am looking to merge it with my experiments and other work with oil paint. This a long with my Seasons in light project are being used to develop my work towards my doing a MA in September this year.

The seasons in light

From January 2013 I am  walking in and around Market Harborough in south Leicestershire.  these walks will be documented by taking photographs concentrating on the light and the signs of weather and climate.

I am usually a mixed media artist using tissue, card and package on an acrylic base. In this I intend to use oil paint using the processes I have developed in mixed media. The process is painting thin layers on top on each other and scrapping them back then placing back on in other areas.

The experimental picture, Squared, shows how well this would express light and for me natural lights changing through the seasons was an obvious choice as a landscape painter.
